This notice concerns the decision made by the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (TUKES) regarding the TUOHI slide ramp. Product safety is our top priority, and we are committed to providing transparent and accurate information.
Background:
TUKES is participating in the Europe-wide JACOP2024 project, which focuses on the safety of children's products. As part of this initiative, TUKES sent the TUOHI slide ramp to a test laboratory in Spain, where a deficiency was identified in the attachment mechanism.
Possible risk:
The slide ramp does not fully secure around the rung, which may cause it to detach during use, posing a risk to children both on and beneath the ramp.
Corrective action:
A fastening strap will be available for the TUOHI slide ramp, which secures around the ramp to ensure safe attachment to the rung. This strap prevents the product from detaching during use. The fastening strap is available free of charge within Finland, including complimentary shipping. For customers in other countries, the fastening strap is also free; however, shipping costs will apply.
